For over 20 years, artist Kevin Berlin has been exploring the secret life of ballerinas. Focusing on moments backstage and behind the scenes, Berlin has worked with some of the most famous dancers and theaters in the world including Kirov Ballet, St. Petersburg, Russia, The National Opera and Ballet in Kiev, Ukraine and Florence Dance Center in Florence, Italy. Kevin Berlin, as a sculptor, has created monumental portraits in bronze and cast glass posed for by Anastasia Volochkova, Maestro Luciano Pavarotti, and Maestro Valery Gergiev.
Artist Kevin Berlin uses performance as a platform to open a conversation about important social issues. The performances are presented live at art fairs, galleries, and street settings. Recorded in short video/documentary format, they eventually find a global audience online.
