EXHIBITION: "BERLIN & XIAO LI.” Internationally renowned artist KEVIN BERLIN teams up with Shanghai based artist XIAO LI for a new show of original oil on canvas paintings at RVS Fine Art in Southampton.

KEVIN BERLIN and XIAO LI debut "BERLIN & XIAO LI" at RVS Fine Art on Jobs Lane in Southampton. Opening Reception on Saturday July 2nd from 6-8 pm and runs through July 31.
Internationally renowned artist KEVIN BERLIN’S latest series of original, oil on canvas, “money” paintings explore the contemporary relationship between American and Chinese currency . Inspired by the Artists’ travels in China and the concept of "wang qian kan," ("look toward the future" - a pun playing on the similarity between the Chinese word 'future" and the word "money") a catchphrase for the philosophy of pioneering 1990's writers in China such as Zhu Wen, Wang Shuo and Jia Pingwa. BERLIN”S work brings a 21st Century perspective to the politics of money. Works include "Shrinking Dollar," and "My First Million." The show also features KEVIN BERLIN'S latest black and white cocktail party paintings from his ongoing “Slaves of Fashion” series: “Get Paid to Have Fun,” and “Christmas Party.” XIAO LI’S works are to be announced.
The Exhibition follows KEVIN BERLIN: “KIEV DAYS / KIEV NIGHTS” at RVS Fine Art on 20 Jobs Lane in Southampton.
ABOUT THE ARTISTS:
Kevin Berlin - Internationally renowned artist Kevin Berlin's works are found in the collections of Kim Basinger, Luciano Pavarotti, Buzz Aldrin, Henry Buhl, David Letterman, Bill and Hillary Clinton, Quincy Jones, General Motors Corp. and Carnival Cruise Lines. Berlin, a Yale Alumnus, has appeared in The New York Times Magazine, Shanghai Daily, The Miami Herald, USA Today, and CBS Sunday Morning with Charles Osgood, MTV, Tokyo Television, and BBC Radio. Berlin was honored by President Reagan at The White House as a YoungArts Presidential Scholar in 1983.
